While the Playstation 4 playerbase is by far the biggest when compared to PC (I have the game on both platforms), it seems that the player count for Xenoverse 2 has been more or less consistent on PC ever since late 2016 with the average number sitting somewhere between 2-3k players daily. To me this has always been a childhood dream come true, and while i personally haven't noticed much of a downfall, i seem to hear people everywhere spouting on about how the game is dead.
In my opinion Xenoverse 2 along with FighterZ is the ultimate Dragon Ball experience and the closest true fans of the series will ever get to immerse themselves within the Dragon Ball universe - especially with all the freedom it gives you in terms of creating your own character with each of their unique abilities and becoming part of Dragon Ball's history. Speaking as a dedicated Xenoverse 2 player here i love the game with all my heart and still genuinely play it even after all the years that have gone by.
